Mycelial Musings: Embracing the Mushroom Lore in the East & WestPrint Production, Multimedia Exploration & Art DirectionMay 2024
Mycelial Musings: Embracing the Mushroom Lore in the East & West is an ode to the beauty of mushrooms through a two-part book, a Risograph zine and poster, and a custom designed dupatta.

By showcasing the mushrooms’ versatility and importance, the collection fosters a newfound appreciation for mushrooms even in cultures historically averse to them, focusing on my mycophobic country, India.

The two-part book of the collection includes Part 1, which gives a historical understanding of mycology, their cultural significance in the East and West, and discusses not only the medicinal uses but the psychedelic use as well. Part 2 transitions by taking on a playful and experiential tone, delving into the culinary delights of mushrooms, my personal journey with mushrooms, and sharing anecdotes and public insights into the fascination with these extraordinary organisms.

Maggi Masala Reimagined Brand Identity, Social Media, Videography & EditingMarch 2023
Project based on rebranding an existing brand. I chose to work on Maggi— an international, well-known Nestle brand that produces noodles, seasonings, and instant soups. Below is my  on-going work on the rebrand of the logo. Starting with two different typefaces and trying variations of how Maggi can be better represented.

ReVive Magazine EditorialNovember 2022
For the Multiple Editions elective course, we were tasked with a project to propose an arts/culture/design magazine for a smart and savvy audience.

I chose to use ReVive as my magazine name and brand— Revive here stands for restoring to life. My idea for the design direction is to try a monochromatic palette throughout the magazine, trying a different approach than most current fashion or lifestyle magazines. Three different magazine covers are also designed to give an idea of what the magazine's seasonal issues would look like— using a custom duotone palette and grainy textures.

Typefaces used within the magazine design are Bitcount Mono Single for the article heads for a more tech approach relating to the concept. While the other fonts are PP Neue Montreal and Neue Haas Grotesk for the body copy.

Planet Burns Editorial, Web & PrintNovember 2022
Planet Burns is a bi-weekly tabloid newspaper with articles and content on environmental issues. The publication’s print form mainly deludes the audience from the exact information the article is trying to convey.

Most of the information is blacked out; only the headlines with decks are visible. Thus the user has to look out for special add-ins within the publication’s newspapers with a QR code that will take them to a digital format. The digital format— Planet Burns site allows users to read these articles in detail and collect, share, and save or discard the exclusive article.
